Run Henham is a brand new running event for 2024. The first of this unique series of events will take place on 10th November 2024, spanning 3 different routes across the majestic natural county park.
Runners are invited to run either the 5km loop, the 10km loop or just the 1km fun run, which is open to people of all ages and will take place after the long distance running events have concluded.
The site will be equipped with food trucks, service hot and cold snacks as well as a coffee van serving hot drinks to keep any spectators warm and fed while the runners complete the course.
Henham park is a stunning natural country park and plays host to the annual Latitude festival as well as the Henham Steam Rally. Each year thousands of people descend onto the park for those two events alone. It’s also an extremely popular place for people to hold their weddings, with the iconic bridge providing the perfect backdrop for unique photographs. This event offers a rare opportunity for runners to access the park and explore the vast natural expanse which sits just next to Southwold on the beautiful Suffolk Coast.
Both the 5km race and the 10km race will be chip-timed, so runners will receive an accurate race time along with their unique medal, water and snacks for completing the races. It is also worth noting that all three distances are trail runs because of the natural surfaces underfoot.

What races are there going to be on the day?
There will be a 5km, a 10km and a 1k fun run.
Can spectators attend?
Yes. Spectators are free to hang around near the lake while the runners complete the course.
Will there be food and drink available?
Yes. There will be a selection of food and drinks trucks on site for the event. Details of these will be added to this site nearer the event date.
I've raced at Henham Park before. Is it the same as last time?
No. We are aware that there was a running event which took place in 2019. Run Henham is a whole new running event series which is organised by Epic Norfolk; the organisation behind the Norfolk Marathon and the Blickling half marathon. Can I run with my pram?
Yes, the course is a trail run and therefore not even the whole way around. But generally it is passable with a pram. Runners are therefore welcome to run with a pram providing they acknowledge they do so at their own risk and the course is an uneven one.
Are dogs welcome?
Dogs are welcome at the event itself provided they are kept on a lead at all times. Dogs are not permitted to run with runners on our 10k or 5k races however and must remain at the event base for the duration of the event.
Where can I store my bag?
There will be bag storage at the event. Runners can leave their bag with out volunteers and collect again after the race. This will be operated via a ticketing system. Please note runners leave their bags with out volunteers at their own risk.
